A little about myself…
My name is Dixie, and I was born in Utah, then moved to Arizona, coming back at the age of 12 due to dads ill
health. I have sewn and embroidered since then, having been taught by my wonderful grandmother while recuperating from a heel injury
(caught it in HER screen door!) My dad had MS, and was confined to a wheelchair and then bedridden for many years. He helped me embroider
my first quilt blocks at the age of 15. I have tried all sorts of crafts, but love this one the most.
I first became interested
in machine embroidery about 5 years ago. It wasn’t until the fall of 2003 that I purchased my first embroidery/sewing combo
machine, and within hours fell in love with the whole concept! My favorite embroidered items...both hand and machine stitched... are
Red-work.
In my desperate search for designs in redwork, I stumbled across a forum which had a discussion on digitizing your own designs,
and before I knew it I had purchased the program! I digitized a few of my own (which are listed in these pages for
sale) and knew that I had finally found the thing I love to do the most.
I have since perfected my technique, and proudly offer all
